Common Questions and Comments We Hear
Protection Level
What specific threats are you seeking to mitigate? Will this jacket replace my daily duty vest? What are the pros and cons to this type of protection?
While there are multiple factors to decide from when choosing body armor, here are 4 main topics that most agencies look at to start the process:
- Protection level/area
- Comfort level
- Covertness
- Pricing
What is your typical jacket size?
We can incorporate our ballistic technology inside many different models of civilian jackets. Most of the time we can keep your same street clothes sizing, without the need to 'size up' the coat. For obvious reasons, skinny or tight fitting jackets are not good candidates for this technology, however we do find success with a large number of contemporary jackets.
Mainstream Style & Color
By featuring popular outerwear styles seen on the streets today, our clients retain the ability to stay incognito. Our most popular styles are the familiar soft-shell athletic, canvas work-wear and ski/mountain jackets that you frequently see on the streets or at the shopping mall.
Custom Fit
Our specialized production facilities strategically attach the ballistic panels to key protective areas within the jacket lining.
Proper anchoring also prevents the panels from bunching, rolling or sagging (thus sacrificing some protection capabilities and also shortening the lifespan of the armor).
Another key factor to minimizing any obvious 'printing' is keeping the external jacket shell fabric free and clear of any tugging, bunching or overt stitching. Maintaining the external shell design also allows the original weather-resistant qualities of the jacket to perform as intended.
