Today’s advanced ballistic armor has truly pushed the boundaries of science.  Materials only 1/5th of an inch thick are capable of stopping most modern handgun threats and ammunition found on the street today. 

On average, our jackets only gain a total of 5 pounds for Level IIIA ballistic protection.

Custom armor

Our 3-panel system provides a combination of protection and low profile appearance.  The soft armor panels are strategically placed to provide effective coverage of the critical front, side and back torso regions, while still remaining stealth to the naked eye. 

The special design allows enhanced coverage during normal movement and the lightweight material is comfortable to wear around town.

Ballistic Science

Our advanced soft body armor utilizing Dyneema® technology allows for tremendous protection capabilities that are lighter, thinner and more flexible than early generation body armors. Advancing discoveries in Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene have created ballistic protection that is up to 30% lighter than equivalent soft armor packages.

This advanced fiber technology can absorb extremely high amounts of energy.  For example, certain armor configurations are only 1/5 of an inch thick (20mm), yet capable of stopping .357 ammunition traveling at over 1,900 feet per second.  Said another way…it’s a soft, flexible armor that is thinner than most modern smart phones and capable of defeating bullets flying close to 1,000 miles per hour.

Modern Ballistic Armor

Soft ballistic armor found within the familiar vests seen on military and law enforcement members use multiple layers of very strong fibers that are capable of 'catching' and deforming a bullet into the classic mushroom shape. As the bullet engages the ballistic fibers, the impact energy is adsorbed and transferred to each successive layer until the bullet comes to a stop. The ability to absorb and distribute kinetic energy in the shortest possible time is what makes this space age material truly amazing. 

Advancements in the composition of the various layers of ballistic material have produced soft armor material that is lighter, thinner and more flexible than ever before. The increased performance-to-weight ratio has drastically enhanced the user experience while wearing this technology.

Soft Armor
Is very effective against most common handgun threats seen on the street today.  It is relatively lightweight, flexible and allows for comfortable use over long periods of time.  Soft armor has proven effective at muzzle velocities approaching 2,000 feet per second. However this type of protection is designed for handgun bullets...it is not designed nor rated for use against rifle ammunition. Today's soft armor is better than ever before at defeating common handgun threats seen from the popular 9mm and .40 S&W calibers.
